green week, 1

green week, 1

and finally, it's march. my breath is a bit deeper. the light, these past two days, it seems brighter. and somehow the horizon seems a bit nearer. the time has come for me to celebrate all things green.

green week, 1

these photos were taken on sunday morning in the woods with my family, where we noticed green all around. such a joy, to be out in nature, watching the earth coming to life. we walked, and we walked. we left the trail and forged through the branches for a bit. and when we came back to the place where we began, we found this tiny patch of daffodils, ready to bloom. i am almost certain they weren't there when we began; they seem to have popped up out of nowhere. a reward, i'm sure, for our sunday morning walk in the woods, for our examination of nature, for our noticing.

i'm thrilled that all of these fine bloggers are planning to join me in this celebration of green. some may be posting green once this week; others, more often. please go visit them and see.

Aaahhhhhh,All of these spring posts are making me feel great.Nothing like a bit of green to lift the mood:0)
I saw the first peekings of shoots yesterday and it added a spring to my step:0)

hey - thank you for hosting!

Really such a great start for March. Just knowing it is a new month gives me hope for spring.

Gosh, I've been hesitating because we are covered with 4 feet of white still and there ain't much green around! But...I think I'll give it a go :)

It's still winter here, yo. The ground, and the sides of the trees, and many other things, are WHITE. E is eating snow with maple sugar on it right now. I kid you not.

So, green. Where are you? Must find some green.

And by "maple sugar", I of course mean "maple syrup." I am having some typing problems today.

or brain problems

Ha! I just had to laugh at Grace's comments. She's so funny :)

Thanks for introducing me to a bunch of new blogs that I haven't read before too.

I so love green. How could I resist.

i'll be posting green as well. gotta force spring to come. :-)

I'm looking for green around here, too. In this high desert region, we have to wait a bit longer... Sigh.

I'm in, too! I just found you through Alicia. :)

Love the green theme and your photos are lovely! I just discovered your blog through Sarah at Thistle Downs. Hope you don't mind if I join this week. I will interspace green photos with my B&W experimentation month.

Oh this sounds like a lot of fun. Since we're in FL we have plenty of green to share with all the folks that are still under the white stuff.
Come on over and see all our beautiful greens in our tropical fruit and veggie gardens.

oh what a great idea!

Yeah for green! Spring really is my favorite time of the year :)

First off I hope I'm not commenting twice, I saw your prompt through cloth paper string, it is such a lovely idea, so this week I'm posting green, thank you for the prompt, and your blog is wonderful! kt

i just found your lovely blog thru uncommongrace and bluebirdbaby, and was so inspired...i thought i'd give your 'green' theme a go on my own waldorfmama blog. :)

I'll join! I am a green fiend and regularly post about it anyway, so I might as well do it for a cause, right? :p I heard about this from Erin on House On Hill Road. :)

GREEN! Glorious GREEN! Such a fantastic idea, Emily. I am going to so enjoy soaking it all in this week.

I'll post some green as well. xo

Please include me in your list if possible! Thanks so much!
