Oh wow! Girl you are putting Bisquick all to shame! We love waffles around here, so I can't wait to give your recipe a go!

Mama Urchin

Hello, yum! I think we'll be trying this tomorrow morning.

so perfect! i use an adaptation (a vegan one) of the joy recipe as well. i'm actually having a waffle breakfast party tomorrow! i have a serious soft spot for waffles- my aunt and uncle just bought me a new wafflemaker for hanukkah and it's seriously putting my old garage sale one to shame. love it!

They look so yummy!! We're big fans of pancakes here, but I think we'll give waffles a go this weekend :)

My husband is a big proponent of waffles. And pancakes. He doesn't make them every weekend, but many. I've never caught on to syrup, I usually go the butter and powdered suger route. Sometimes honey is good, though, too.

Have a lovely weekend!

if I get my act together this would make a perfect addition to the cook book project.... that is if I get my act together. Otherwise, it is just a perfect addition to my weekend :)

so timely! we just recently got a waffle iron to expand our breakfast options and have been experimenting with different recipes - just this morning buckwheat waffles. pretty good, but i'm thinking we're definitely going to give your recipe a go.

erin

we just made waffles this morning! yum! ours were buckwheat just like sarah's.

a favorite weekend treat of ours too. We actually got our farm animal shaped waffle maker as a wedding gift "to share mornings together" and 5 years later it is still one the favorite gifts.
Looking forward to trying your recipe.

My brother, who was 17 at the time, told my mom that what he wanted to give me for my wedding was a waffle iron! "And not one of those ones with the big holes." Isn't that cute! So we've never been without one our whole married and family life. And I really don't care for pancakes, waffles, french toast, regular toast, buns on hamburgers, bread on sandwiches, or basically any other bread-like thing. So, most of our waffles are made by my husband for our children on the weekends, and I don't really participate. (I prefer hot cereals like oatmeal of all kinds, brown rice hot cereal, grits, etc. And poached eggs. And I will eat one piece of toast if I'm having poached eggs, but I prefer the eggs on grits. And I haven't been able to eat eggs as a dish so much since James came along because he's allergic, so we do avoid them for the most part. His allergist seemed to think that his allergy was mild enough -- it just barely came up positive -- that eggs in baked goods would probably be OK. So. There you go.)

But. Thank you for sharing your waffle recipe because it does actually look kind of good and I might try it later in the week. Guess what time it is? Time for me to go to bed. And, it's already my birthday!!!!

ani

i use "the joy" as my waffle/pancake recipe too. why use a mix? it's really so easy...and so. dang. good.

over here, we use real maple syrup to enrobe my breakfast baked goods. none of that corn syrup with flavoring! aieee! the horror!
